Cheese and Ham Pizza (MAD)

  • 30g KetoCal 4:1 Powder Unflavoured
  • 2g rice bran oil
  • 1 large egg
  • 20g grated cheddar cheese (35% fat)
  • 30g shaved ham, chopped
  • 1g garlic puree
  • 2g tomato puree
  • 30g chopped cherry tomatoes
  • Dried herbs

Important note: This recipe is for patients following a Modified Atkins ketogenic Diet (MAD). The ketogenic diet must be used under strict medical supervision. Please refer to your Dietitian before making any adaptations to the recipes.



  1. Preheat oven to 165┬░C/gas mark 3
  2. Mix KetoCal with oil and egg in a bowl
  3. Spread mixture onto a lightly greased baking sheet in a 15cm circle
  4. Combine garlic, tomato puree and tomatoes to make pizza topping
  5. Evenly spread the pizza topping over the base, leaving 1 cm around the edge with no topping (to form a crust)
  6. Sprinkle the cheese, ham and herbs over the pizza
  7. Cook for 10-20 minutes or until golden brown


Chef's Tips

Freeze your cooked pizzas once cool, putting greaseproof paper in between each pizza to avoid them sticking. Then simply reheat in the oven for a quick pizza anytime!
